Life Skills for Teenagers

As the Parent of a Teenager, it is better to be aware and alert towards some of the issues your teenager may face during Teen Years. These issues need to be addressed before they become concerns at home or outside.

What could be the possible issues that may crop up during this teen period?

  • Academic performance.
  • Peer Relationships.
  • Mental & Emotional Health.
  • Mood swings & Behavior.
  • Physical Health & Fitness.

Nobody can assure complete immunity from these aspects. However we can make teenagers aware and prepare them to handle the possible struggles they may face. Teens mainly struggle with Self doubt, Self image & Anxiety. Learning & practicing Life Skills can help them come out and seek help, support and guidance from elders at home and the school teachers.

Life Skills for teenagers is an Outward Bound course that cultivates essential Life Skills in your teenager. The unfamiliar and the challenging environment while at the Outward Bound campsites, provide a platform to the teenagers to explore and learn from the immersive experience there. While going through the challenging activities along with others, children tend to come out of their shell & comforts, to try new things with courage and confidence. Parents must appreciate this aspect of the Outdoor Education for the benefit of their children and encourage them to go for it.

We offer two Modules for participants to choose from:

Module I

Duration: 5 Days / 4 Nights Camping.  Locations: Campsites near Nagpur & Nasik (Maharashtra). Near Hubli (Karnataka).

Module II

Parents / Guardians Please Note:

We do understand the concern of the elders towards the safety of the teenagers during the outdoor activities. Once at the campsite, the teenagers are under the watchful eyes of the trainers running the program. Our trainers follow all the safety protocols during the activities.

Another concern for the parents is the travelling that is required from home town to the reporting point. Many teenagers are confident and travel all alone. However, it is desirable that a parent escort their child, if need be. Children opting for this program should try and encourage one or two of their friends or a sibling to travel with them and also join this program. Travelling itself is a huge learning experience for teenagers.

Special Offer For Parents.

We offer FREE online sessions, for parents of the participating  teenagers, on “Emotional Intelligence” (EI).

This will help the parents in supporting their children in practicing “Emotion Skills” they learned during the Outward Bound program. Together the family members can care for each others “Emotional Well-being”.
