Eastern Himalaya is known for its exotic beauty and a wide range of flora & fauna. The splendour of gigantic mountain ranges of Mt.Everest and Mt.Kanchendzonga massif, the beautiful vistas of carpeted tea gardens and a lifetime experience of trekking in the Singalila National Park (the only natural habitat of the rare Red Pandas), Rafting down the river Teesta and a chance visit to Tsangpo lake and Nathu La (pass) on Indo-China border are added attractions.

Nathu La (Pass) from Gangtok was the gateway for the travelers and traders to enter the plains of Tibet for cultural exchanges.

Uttaranchal State
Dayara – Bakhria pass : 2008

Dayara is Uttaranchal’s “valley of flowers”. Nestling at a height of 11,000 Ft. it consists of an immense vista of gently slopping hillsides, richly forested in patches, with a number of small lakes formed in the rocky hollows. In the flowering season, it is carpeted with flowers of every hue, fragrance & shape, making it a naturalist’s delight.

The four-day trek starts from Barsu (6500 ft) to Barnala (9000 ft.) to Dayara (10,500 ft.).

On the third day a height gaining trek to Bakria Pass (13,000 ft) gives you a glorious view of the Himalayan ranges.

  Uttaranchal Himalayas  
 

Dodital - Dharwa Pass : 2008

This trek crosses the Bhagirathi - Yamuna watershed. After driving to Uttarkashi from Rishikesh and Tehri along the Bhagirathi river, the trail goes past the trout hatchery at Kalyani to the quaint village of Agora opposite Bakria Peak (4368 mtrs.). Onwards, a Rhododendron trail leads to the Trout filled Dodital lake (3038 mtrs). Ascending the Dharwa Dhar astride the Bhagirathi - Yamuna watershed (4115 mtrs.) there are fine views of the peaks of both the valleys.

Uttar Pradesh  Kumaon Region
Nainital - Kafni Glacier : 2008

The word Kumaon is believed to have been derived from “Kurmanchal” meaning, Land of the Kurmavatar (the tortoise incarnation of Lord Vishnu, preserver of the Hindu trinity). Extending from the Northen end of the Ganga plains right up to Tibet, Kumaon’s endless panorama of scenic wonders is nothing short of romance with pristine and soul – lifting nature itself. Deotibba Hamta Pass Manali : 2008

Dhauladhar ranges in Himachal play a vital role in controlling the climate of Kullu valley. Deo-tibba peaks and Hamta pass presents the magnificent beauty of the Himalayan terrain. The fruit belt on one side and mountain desert on the other side of the Rohtang pass is a unique creation of nature.
